5 reasons Warriors won’t win NBA Finals
5. Western Conference competition
While the bottom of the Western Conference took a step back this season, the top of the Western Conference is still as tough as it gets and once again, the Warriors are going to have to go through at least two solid opponents after the first round if they are going to get to the NBA Finals.
That means that they’re going to have to face some combination of the Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs in the playoffs.
While the Warriors have had no issues defeating any of those teams, in a seven-game playoff series, it’s a much different battle and these are three teams they didn’t have to face last season when they won a championship.
Each of these teams have given the Warriors some tough fights this season and should they get through them, then they will once again be battle tested for whatever the Eastern Conference decides to bring through the table this year.
The Warriors faced a lot of criticism for not having to face certain teams last season in the playoffs. They won’t avoid them this year and they’ll have their chance to prove the critics wrong.
