Why are the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder not playing Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals tonight?

After two games, the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder have engaged in one of the more exciting Western Conference Finals yet. The Thunder stole Game 1 on the road and made an incredible rally to start off the series, while the Warriors dominated in Game 2 to even things up.

That means that Game 3 and Game 4 in Oklahoma City are going to be even more pivotal to this series. While the Eastern Conference is playing every other day and Game 3 will take place on Saturday night, Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals will not take place until Sunday night.

This has caused a lot of people to be upset, since Game 2 was played on Wednesday night and there’s three-day layoff between the games. The reason for that is because the NBA wants the weekend numbers and to not miss a day of when they can grab the most viewers.

They can now have the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday night, and the main event that is the Western Conference Finals on Sunday night.
