Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green made a huge block on Oklahoma City Thunder guard in the first quarter of Game 5.

The Golden State Warriors need Draymond Green to step up more now than ever with their season on the line in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals on Thursday night. After Green has had two historically bad games in a row for the Warriors and the team is on the brink of elimination, he brought his best early in the elimination grave.

Taking on Russell Westbrook early, Green looked like his old self on the floor when he made a monster block and shut down the Thunder point guard. As Westbrook went up, Green matched him the entire way and swatted Westbrook’s shot right off the glass.

As per usual with the Warriors, the big shot led to a huge three from Stephen Curry. However, that play doesn’t happen with Green and when he’s locked in, the Warriors are tough to beat, which hasn’t been the case in the previous two games.

After being named to the All-NBA Defensive team, the traits that define Green are suddenly present again.
