The Mountain helps hype up the Euro 16 with an intimidating message to Cristiano Ronaldo

The first match of the Euro 16 start on Friday, and everyone is excited. Soccer fans from around the world can watch their favorite teams battle it out to see who will become number one. Iceland faces Portugal on Tuesday the 14th, and it should be a very exciting matchup. With Cristiano Ronaldo playing, some would say that Portugal has the advantage. There is one man, however, who does not fear Ronaldo or Portugal. From what we’ve seen, it should be they who fear this man.

Via ESPNFC, The Mountain from Game of Thrones sent a message to Ronaldo and his team. Strongman Hafthor Bjornsson decided to intimidate the team facing his home country of Iceland with a video. It is a vignette of him working out along to the Game of Thrones theme song. He also had the following to say:

When The Mountain tells you to do something, you do it. Considering the state he is in now on the show, I would definitely not mess around with him. I’m sure Ronaldo will be looking behind his back during the match to watch out for Game of Thrones’  executioner.

The Euro 16 and Game of Thrones are not so different. Both showcase battles between powerful families/clubs to see who will sit on top of the world as the ultimate champion. It will be great to watch competitive matches, and to see where both teams end up after Tuesday.

Here’s hoping The Mountain can provide a spark for Iceland and make their matchup against Portugal fun to watch.
