Grant Hill leads moment of silence for Orlando at NBA Finals Game 5 (Video)
Former Magic wing Grant Hill led Oracle Arena in a moment of silence for Orlando ahead of Game 5 of the NBA Finals
When news of the hate crime and terrorist attack in Orlando broke early on Sunday morning and began to spread into the public eye, it was clear that this was a moment that affected everyone in the United States. However, those with strong ties to the city were obviously more affected than most.
So as the NBA decided to have a moment of silence to remember and pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the attack ahead of Game 5 of the 2016 NBA Finals, it only made since to have someone with Orlando ties to do it. The league chose former Magic All-Star Grant Hill.
Here’s a look at Grant Hill being at the head of a touching moment and tribute to the victims in the Orlando terrorist attack:
It makes sense to have a former Orlando Magic player be at the head of such of a moment, but having Hill be that guy was an even better choice. The former All-Star for the Magic is one of the most well-spoken, thoughtful and professional men around basketball and having him ahead of a moment of silence only makes sense in this situation.
Our thoughts and prayer are still with everyone affected by the tragedy in Orlando.
