The Oakland based rapper and supernatural being announced the end of Kevin Durant’s curse on Twitter, hours after the superstar forward said he was joining the Golden State Warriors.

Never forget that July 4, 2016 was the day our long, national nightmare came to an end. Lil B the BasedGod’s curse on Kevin Durant has finally been lifted.

As you may have heard, Durant announced via The Player’s Tribune that he’s leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder to join the Golden State Warriors as a free agent – effectively launching the already legendary Dubs roster into basketball Olympus.

While many Warrior fans celebrated, some began to inquire the Oakland “based” rapper (and Dubs supporter) about the status of the infamous curse he placed on Durant back in 2011, after the superstar forward foolishly referred to Lil B as “wack.”

After a bit of Twitter silence, Lil B had this to say:

That’s it, everyone. It’s in the books: Durant will no longer be hindered by the debilitating BasedGod curse. The Warriors now have the green light to win all 82 games in the regular season and sweep the competition all the way to another NBA Championship.

What a glorious day for Oakland indeed. Thank you, BasedGod.
