A visibly distraught and emotional Jon Jones addressed the media today to discuss his removal from UFC 200.

Last night, it was announced that Jon Jones has been pulled from his matchup with Daniel Cormier at UFC 200 because USADA flagged him for a potential anti-doping violation. Details are still unknown and the substance which he took hasn’t been revealed. Addressing the media in a press conference, Jones seemed very emotional and said quite a few things. He also apologized to the light heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier, for what has happened.

Jones has had to face a lot of adversity over the last year. In 2015, he was involved in a hit and run. He hit the car of a pregnant lady, who was injured, and ran away from the scene. Shortly after, Jones was stripped of his light heavyweight title and suspended for some time.

Having all this time to regroup and get his personal life in order, Jones returned in April at UFC 197 and defeated Ovince St. Preux to become the interim light heavyweight champion.

It’s very unfortunate this has happened to Jones. As of right now, it’s better to reserve judgment until more details are revealed. He seems very apologetic about what has happened, especially to his opponent, Cormier.
