The latest NBA rumors are swirling that LeBron James has been getting told he and the Cleveland Cavaliers are cursed this coming season due to Donald Trump’s Republican National Convention appearance at their home arena.

Are LeBron James and the Cavaliers cursed this coming NBA season? That’s what is being told to LeBron James, according to Hollywood Life. Apparently, a number of fellow NBA players have called James to let him know that as a result of Quicken Loans Arena hosting Donald Trump and the Republican Convention that it brought on a lot of “bad mojo.”

As Hollywood Life reports, “Some of his [Lebron’s] friends told him that Trump is bad mojo, and has sucked all the good energy and fight out of Quicken Loans. LeBron is superstitious and plans to burn sage everywhere in the arena before training begins if he stays.”

Trump was in Cleveland for the Republican National Convention which took over Quicken Loans Arena, home of the NBA champion Cavs. In another interesting side story, LeBron was recently said to have played a part in pop singer Justin Bieber turning down a $5 million offer to perform at a venue near where the RNC was being held.

A curse was lifted recently by rapper Lil B that had been hanging over brand new Warriors star Kevin Durant for years. If a “Trump curse” is taking its aim at LeBron James, he may need to use a bunch of his lucky charms and good luck tricks before the regular season gets going. Otherwise, it appears that luck is on Durant’s side now.

That said, the Cleveland Cavaliers are listed with 7:2 odds to win the NBA Championship this season, trailing only the Golden State Warriors on the future odds list and all of this is just silly because curses are dumb and don’t exist. Just don’t tell that to any fans of the Chicago Cubs.
