It’s not a stretch to say that Battlefield 1 is a game specifically for the fans. With the recent trend of first-person shooting games set in futuristic realms, Battlefield 1 is a breath of fresh air for those who have been clamoring for a return to more traditional gameplay.
After its announcement early in 2016, we officially got a look at the new game during a live stream on Twitch this past May, and it looks spectacular. It’s what we’ve been waiting for all along, and the best part is that it’s now only two months away.
We also got a first look at how the online multiplayer will function while watching live demos at E3 2016. Although it’s in a different setting and there’s definitely a lot to get used to, it’s the same Battlefield we’ve grown to love in previous installments. Today, a new gameplay trailer was released for Battlefield 1, and it focuses on the new weapons (well, old) that we’ll be using in the game.

In the trailer, we get a behind-the-scenes look at the game in development and what the game creators did to deliver an authentic experience. For example, they did research on the guns from the WWI era, and they did their very best to capture how these guns shoot, how they felt, and how they were used in order to incorporate the most accurate depiction into the game. You see a variety of old school rifles and close-quarter combat weapons that we’ll be able to utilize as we play.
It’s going to be great to experience the birth of warfare once Battlefield 1 launches on October 21, 2016.
