What happened in the WWE SummerSlam match between AJ Styles and John Cena?

At WWE SummerSlam, AJ Styles and John Cena had their latest match. They battled at Money in the Bank, which saw The Phenomenal One get the victory. Cena and Styles would join teams for Battleground, and see the former get the victory. Their match on Sunday will be the third and potentially final one.

So, what would happen in this match at SummerSlam?

Styles hit a big dropkick on Cena to get the offense of the match going. After showboating, though, Cena came back with a big clothesline to take brief control. He continued by slamming Styles around the ring.

Styles returned the favor by slamming Cena’s back on the apron with a suplex.

Back in the ring, Cena continued his assault on Styles. He hit multiple suplexes, and showed some technical prowess. The Leader of the Cenation then set up for his five knuckle shuffle routine.

Styles hit the Styles Clash, but couldn’t complete the pin. Cena connected with the AA, but didn’t do anything with this either.

One of the best moves of the match saw Styles turn a sunset flip into a torture rack, which was followed by a sit-out powerbomb.

The former NJPW star continued his innovative offense, hitting a modified facebuster for a near-fall. Styles and Cena would then trade submission finishers.

Styles hit a ridiculous Frankensteiner off the top rope and set up for the phenomenal forearm. Cena kicked out, though!

It would take one Styles Clash and one Phenomenal Forearm for AJ Styles to walk out with a win.

Is this match enough to give five stars at SummerSlam?
