Week 1 of the 2016 NFL season is underway and Monday Night Football is back! In an exciting matchup for the first week, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins will clash at FedExField in Maryland.

In the previous season, Washington was able to win the NFC East and advance to the postseason. Behind quarterback Kirk Cousins and a 9-7 record, they ultimately fell 35-18 to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card round. However, they are back again and looking to improve upon last season’s success.

It’s expected to be an even more competitive year in the division, though. The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants are both contenders again. It’s also hard to count out the Philadelphia Eagles just yet. Washington will be hoping that Cousins and company can pick up where they left off and that will start with a big win on Monday night.

The Steelers are no easy out, even when they’re away from home. This team fell by just a touchdown in the AFC Divisional round to the eventual Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos. Ben Roethlisberger will lead the charge once again as Pittsburgh hopes for another great run at the postseason.
