What time can fans check out the WWE Backlash 2016 pay-per-view on Sunday evening?

On Sunday night, the WWE Backlash pay-per-view returns for 2016 and will be hosted at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia. It will make for the first official Smackdown exclusive pay-per-view since this past July’s WWE Draft. That means only superstars from the Smackdown roster will be appearing on the match card.

AJ Styles will take on Dean Ambrose in the main event match. The two competitors will battle over Ambrose’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship. That title became part of the Smackdown brand as soon as Ambrose was drafted there. Styles quickly rose to the top of the roster to become No. 1 contender.

While the main event is for the major championship, several matches will also decide Smackdown’s two newest titles. The WWE Tag Team Championship will go to its first rightful owners after a tag team tournament finishes. Two matches will take place on the card to determine who the new champions are. In one match, The Hype Bros will take on The Usos. The winner of that match takes on Heath Slater and Rhyno in the finals to decide the title.

Also, Carmella, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Alexa Bliss, Nikki Bella and Naomi will compete for the new women’s title, also exclusive to Smackdown. These six women’s wrestlers will battle in a “Sixpack Challenge Elimination Match.” The women will compete to eliminate each other. Ultimately, one women’s wrestler will end up the final one remaining and become the first-ever champ.
