WWE Superstars Nikki and Brie Bella, of the Bella Twins, sit down to talk about their new show “Total Bellas” with FanSided.

The Bella Twins took the wrestling ring by storm when they debuted in September of 2007. They were paired together for an extended period of time and both had very successful careers. Now, with Brie retiring to start a family with her husband Daniel Bryan and Nikki just returning to the squared circle after a life changing neck surgery, things have been a little hectic for the former Diva Champions.

But their busy schedules were all captured on film for a new show called “Total Bellas.” After being part of the original cast on “Total Divas,” the twins now have their own camera crew following their every move.

Nikki and Brie both took time to talk to FanSided about their new show, possible un-retirement, the women in the WWE right now and what to expect from both John Cena and Daniel Bryan.

FS: The show “Total Divas” has been a network hit for a very long time and you both were part of the original cast. But now with this spinoff happening, can you talk a little bit about what led you both to star in your own show and leave “Total Divas”?

Nikki: I had a potential career neck injury and I needed my family’s help and I needed them to come live with me for three months. I think E! saw that and they were like we need to get this all on camera. So having my family there and next thing we know Daniel is retiring along with Brie stepping out of the ring as well. You also have John who is rehabbing his shoulder and then you have my Mom and brother trying to run a company. Over these six episodes you will see that and a lot more. But basically it just started from me needing my family’s help.

FS: Brie you had a very successful in ring career and many were surprised when you decided to leave the WWE after WrestleMania. Your main reason for retiring was to start a family. How hard was it for you to make that life changing decision?

Brie: The retirement at WrestleMania 32 was a bittersweet moment for me. I was excited to see the next chapter of my life, which is becoming a mother, but at the same time it was a very historical moment. It was a big part of what the Women’s Division has been striving and fighting for. But never say never, I can definitely get in that ring again and I would love to in the future.

I still have that itch and even more now that I’m watching as a fan. Sitting at home watching RAW or SmackDown and saying, “Oh I can be there.” But it’s fun to watch at home, seeing all the women do so great and it makes me so proud. I love that this division is so good.

FS: Nikki you had a big decision as well deciding to come back after a very severe neck and spine injury that could have not only ended your wrestling career, but could have left you permanently paralyzed. What was it like for you to make your return at SummerSlam and join the SmackDown roster?

Nikki: When all my hopes and dreams were taken from me, I knew then what I love is being in that ring. So when I got the green light to come back, I was overjoyed. I am having the time of my life even without being a champion. I can step into that ring and work with such amazing people and help raise the bar each night. The woman on the blue side, they are so athletic and passionate.

FS: Total Divas had a big cast and really limited really capturing the deeper roots of the characters on the show. Will we get to see more layers peeled back not only as being sisters but being involved with each other’s families?

Brie: You are going to see a deeper look into our relationships. You are going to see Daniel be in the interview chair sharing his thoughts and emotions. You are going to see more of John and Daniel being followed by cameras and really seeing the day to day activities they take part in. You will see John Laurinaitis, “Johnny Ace” be a big part of the show as he marries our mother. You are going to get an intimate more look into our lives with our family under one roof.

FS: Nikki your relationship has been up and down with John Cena in terms of what you want for each other in the future. Will we see more of you and him trying to sort out the differences and bring back to the table the topic of getting married?

Nikki: You are going to see a lot more of that definitely. Here is my Mom getting married for the third time and here I am her daughter and I still haven’t been married. But with this show it’s just not going to be me saying I want to be married and I want to be a Mom. You are going to see how John and I live and how much we love each other. The biggest part is you are going to see him and how he interacts with my family.

You are going to see very unique looks of what we are up to and how we all handle both happy and sad times. Both my sister and I have an amazing relationship and Total Bellas will show the unique aspects of our lives.

“Total Bellas” premieres Wednesday, October 5th @ 8pm ET/PT on E!
