The 2016 ALDS is set after the Toronto Blue Jays eliminated the Baltimore Orioles.

The fall is always the best time of the year in baseball, as the best in the league fight for the World Series. On Tuesday night, a classic unfolded in Toronto. The Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles battled all the way to the 11th inning, where Toronto won in the 11th. A walk-off blast from Edwin Encarnación sealed Toronto’s trip to a return date with Texas.

With the win, the Blue Jays and Texas Rangers will begin their series on Thursday night. There’s bad blood between the two and a brawl is likely. These two teams have dropped the gloves and fought any chance they can get. With everything on the line now, there’s going to be no love lost.

The other series in the American League is a great one as well. Terry Francona’s Cleveland Indians will be facing his old club, the Boston Red Sox. These two teams have plenty of playoff past with each other and it should be a great series. It will also mark the beginning of the final playoffs for David Ortiz.

The National League will have their Wild Card Round on Wednesday night, when the New York Mets host the San Francisco Giants. The winner of that game will face the Chicago Cubs on Friday night. The Los Angeles Dodgers will also play the Washington Nationals on Friday night.
