The holiday season is certainly one of the most popular times of the year to shop. Many are looking for the perfect gift for the important people in their lives. While there are other ways to spend your money this holiday season, one of the most popular destinations for shoppers is Walmart.
From laptops and PlayStations to Fitbits, children’s toys and clothes, the popular chain store has plenty of options for prospective shoppers.
Given Walmart’s popularity, there are bound to be people returning gifts this holiday season. For a number of reasons, you may be looking to return a present you received this holiday season. If that gift from Walmart, here’s what you’ll be dealing with in terms of a return policy.
According to the store’s return policy portion of their website, here is Walmart’s holiday return policy:
“Our return policy usually begins on the day that your item is received (item deliver/pick up date) however, our return policy is extended for the holiday gift buying season for items that have a limited return/exchange period (15 or 30 days). We make it easy to shop early, save and not worry about returns! If you purchased a limited return item (15 or 30 days) between November 1, 2016 and December 24, 2016 the return window has been extended per the chart below. 90 day return items remain the same (are not extended). Items purchased from Marketplace Sellers cannot be returned to a Walmart store or to Walmart.com. They must be returned to the Marketplace Seller in accordance with their returns policy. Walmart will be closed Christmas Day, but will re-open its doors on Monday morning as the 2016 calendar year winds down.
