Manchester United, although they travel to Leicester unbeaten in 14 Premier League games, haven’t had it all their own way during the current streak. United have drawn three on the bounce, including a disappointing 0-0 home result against lowly Hull last time out.
Mourinho showed his disappointment at his team’s inability to score goals and put teams away after the Hull match. The Red Devils might be thanking their lucky stars they’re not playing at Old Trafford on Sunday, as United have failed to beat Hull, West Ham, Burnley and Stoke at home so far this season.
Seven of their 14 games during their current unbeaten streak have ended in draws, further demonstrating their lack of cutting edge. United have scored only 33 goals in 391 shots. And that is the main reason their title challenge is well and truly over.
Leicester, however, have more to worry about than their opposition, as the Foxes are languishing dangerously close to the relegation zone. One win in eight games has left last year’s champions only two points clear of the bottom three.
Claudio Ranieri’s job is hanging in the balance and he may receive his marching orders on the back of another few poor results.
Leicester forward Islam Slimani and Leonardo Ulloa are both unavailable through injury, while Phil Jones will miss out for United.
