Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry ends the first half the only way Curry could; sinking a three point shot at the buzzer against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In a song titled “Way back” by Houston rapper Travis Scott, he states he has the “James Harden with the range on me.” Now Scott stated he had Stephen Curry in the place of Harden, but believed Harden better suited the lyric since Harden plays for his hometown Houston Rockets. After this play, Harden may need to revise that lyric.

Curry hit this three fresh off getting in a near confrontation with Oklahoma City Thunder guards Victor Oladipo and Russell Westbrook. Curry and Westbrook have been undercover rivals for sometime and their rivalry may have become enhanced after Westbrook’s comments on Curry and the MVP race. Westbrook, in typical Westbrook fashion, passively took a shot at Curry and his thoughts.

"The follow up: “Has anyone told you Curry shared his opinion that it should be Harden because of where the Rockets are in the standings?”“I don’t care,” Westbrook said. “It don’t matter what he say. Who is he?”"

Curry’s shot to end the half may have represented the differences between Curry and Westbrook. Curry, who made 400-plus threes last year, has made the three point line a lay up. Westbrook, who doesn’t have the talent on his team as Curry, has to try harder and can’t afford off-nights. Curry’s shots come easy, while Westbrook’s feats are a requirement.

Besides, Curry running off the court showed that he’s aware of his status in the NBA. He’s the golden child with the golden shot, no better way to rub it in to the man who wants your spot. Westbrook may dislike Curry and thinks he has it easy, but after that shot, respect must be shown.
