The fourth season of The Originals continues on Friday night with episode 2, “No Quarter.” Here are the details on how to watch online.

A showdown between Marcel and the Mikaelsons is inevitable on The Originals. And based off the newly released three-minute trailer for what to expect from season 4, whatever happens should take place pretty early on in the season.

Maybe as soon as Friday’s night’s episode. That is because the big bad for the season is not Marcel. Rather, it is connected to the symbol Hope is seen drawing at the end of the premiere, the same one that is appearing around New Orleans and seemingly abducted a child last week.

While Marcel deals with the return of the Mikaelsons, Vincent will start to investigate this symbol. As seen in the trailer, whatever this new threat is, it is powerful enough to make the Mikaelsons, Vincent, and Marcel work together to fight it.

But first up is the mission to rescue Klaus. And given the focus of the trailer, that could be accomplished by the end of Friday’s episode. After the slow pacing of The Vampire Diaries’ final season, it will be a nice change for The Originals to wrap up an important storyline quickly.

Then, the focus can shift to figuring out Hope’s growing powers — a much more interesting story seeing as it was pretty obvious that the Mikaelsons would succeed in rescuing Klaus.
