Two West Coast teams slug it out as the Los Angeles Angels take on the Oakland Athletics. Here’s how you can watch the MLB game live, on TV and online.
Tuesday continues the battle in the Bay Area as the Los Angeles Angels and Oakland Athletics meet up in a West Coast MLB showdown. Will either team put themselves out front early in the American League?
Hopefully at least the day will be a good one for Halos starter Matt Shoemaker. Fans can still recall how Shoemaker was hit in the head by a line drive last fall. While he’s since recovered, he’ll be on the mound wearing protective headgear and hoping to erase that bad memory with a great first start in 2017.
Getting the nod for Oakland is Sean Manaea, who’s still developing as a starter. Manaea hasn’t even reached the year mark in his major league career (that’d be April 29). He finished second in the AL’s rookie pool for strikeouts, but also wound up with a losing record at 7-9. A’s fans will be watching to see if he’s able to compile a better record this season.
And could this be a season on the hotseat for Angels manager Mike Scioscia, who’s a Southern California institution but hasn’t delivered an AL West title since 2014?
