Former Universal Champion Goldberg addressed the crowd in a segment after the Raw after Wrestlemania ended Monday night.

After the star-studded and highlight-packed Raw after WrestleMania wrapped up, Goldberg came out to deliver a speech to the WWE Universe that aired on RAW Talk.

Goldberg stated right away that he wasn’t out for part of the show (although the speech was still aired on the WWE Network), and wanted to speak to the crowd directly from the heart. Discussing his return and match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, Goldberg went in depth about his reasons for returning, and was brutally honest with those who stuck around to listen.

The WCW and WWE legend told the crowd how proud he was to be able to wrestle and win the Universal Championship in front of his son and wife, and visit his son’s school with the belt.

Showcasing just how honest he wanted to be with everyone, Goldberg admitted his match with Lesnar 13 years ago at Wrestlemania 20 was a “debacle,” and that he and Lesnar made up for the disaster with their brawl at WrestleMania 33.

The true highlight of the speech was when Goldberg called his son to the ring from the front row, and the kid took a tumble to the floor as he hopped the barricade. Goldberg took a pretty solid dig at himself (we were all thinking it) and said how great it was that his son took a bump already, and that his one bump was more than Goldberg had taken in his career until his WrestleMania match with Lesnar.

The former Universal Champion said that those listening may have just seen Goldberg for the final time in a WWE ring, but left everyone hanging as he ended his heartfelt moment by saying “You never know what, or WHO’S next.”

As he and his son embraced in the ring and bowed for the crowd, Goldberg took the microphone back, and left those cheering him on with three final words: Never say never.
