NFL Films and HBO will feature the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their 12th season of the hit training camp series Hard Knocks in August.

Starting August 8, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will take over HBO and NFL Films for the 12th season of their popular Hard Knocks series.

The season will run for five episodes on HBO, beginning on August 8 and wrapping up on September 5.

“A tremendous amount of hard work goes on behind the scenes to prepare for an NFL season and HARD KNOCKS does a great job every year of giving the fans the type of unprecedented access that only NFL Films can provide,” said Buccaneers General Manager Jason Licht in a press release on the team’s website. “Our fans will get to know our players, coaches and support staff like never before.”

Tampa Bay will be the 10th team to be showcased on Hard Knocks, with both the Cowboys and Bengals accounting for two seasons each. The show premiered back in 2001, and has also featured teams like the Ravens, the Rex Ryan-led Jets, the on-the-rise Falcons, and others over the years.

The show will surely have loads of content to fill their five episodes, between their popular quarterback Jameis Winston, newcomer and big-time wide receiver Desean Jackson, and even a battle between struggling second-year kicker Roberto Aguayo and veteran Nick Folk for a unique kicker competition.

The 12th season of the enormously popular HBO/NFL Films series Hard Knocks will feature the Buccaneers this August during training camp. The five-episode run will begin on Tuesday, August 8 and conclude on September 5, airing exclusively on HBO.

“The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have everything we look for when it comes to Hard Knocks,” said NFL Films Senior Executive Director Ross Ketover in the team’s website announcement.  “A young, dynamic team filled with big names; an experienced coaching staff focused on taking their squad to the next level; and high expectations in a division that has represented the NFC in the past two Super Bowls.
