In a video that was posted by The Players’ Tribune, NBA greats and former teammates of Paul Pierce reflect on his career.

The Players’ Tribune posted a video today that featured NBA greats and former teammates of Paul Pierce, reflecting on his career. It was an amazing gesture, and it showed how much of an impact Pierce had on the game no matter what team he was suiting up for.

The video featured former NBA players and future Hall of Famers like Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant speaking about memories they had with Pierce on and off the court. The video also featured Pierce’s head coach for most of his career in Doc Rivers, as well as the Boston Celtics’ general manager Danny Ainge, speaking about Pierce’s work ethic and passion for the game.

It even featured Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz, thanking Pierce for what he did for the city of Boston. Even Rajon Rondo appeared in it, who we’re pretty sure didn’t like anybody including any former teammates. But Rondo explained the impact Pierce had on him by being able to see Pierce’s great work ethic displayed at practices, a touching olive branch for the end of that incredible Celtics dynasty.

Pierce officially played his last NBA game on Sunday, April 30, when the Utah Jazz defeated the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA playoffs. Although Pierce’s career didn’t end on a high note, he will definitely be remembered as one of the best scorers in NBA history. Pierce boasts a resume’ that includes 26,397 points over the course of his career, 10 NBA All-Star appearances, and one NBA championship in which he won the finals MVP in 2008. He has the potential to one day be enshrined in the NBA Hall of Fame, and is as close to a lock as you can get.
