Borussia Dortmund face Hoffenheim at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday, May 6. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim meet at the Westfalenstadion in a game that will likely determine who finishes third in the Bundesliga. The team that finishes third automatically qualifies for Champions League next season, while the four place team has to go through the Champions League qualifying stage. Going through the qualifying stage is an easy task for Dortmund. However, it is more challenging for a smaller club like Hoffenheim. Getting the automatic spot would be huge for Hoffenheim financially.

Dortmund faced Koln in their previous game. Thomas Tuchel’s Dortmund side controlled the game and had a significant number of chances but could not beat Koln keeper Timo Horn. Horn made an incredible one-handed diving save late in the game on a Raphael Guerreiro header to steal a point for the Billy Goats away from home.

Hoffenheim regained their one-point lead on Dortmund after defeating Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0. Benjamin Hubner scored a beautiful header off of a corner in the 90th minute to give Hoffenheim the win. Andrej Kramaric leads the team in goals with 12, while Sandro Wagner has 11. If Hoffenheim are going to win, they need both players to score.

Dortmund and Hoffenheim played to a 2-2 draw in their first match this season. Both teams will be pushing for all three points and control of third in the table. Both Dortmund and Hoffenheim close the season with games against Werder Bremen and Augsburg. Hoffenheim’s 29-year-old manager Julian Nagelsmann has done an incredible job at Hoffenheim since taking over last February. Nagelsmann helped Hoffenheim survive relegation with a 15th-place finish last year and this year could earn automatic qualification into Champions League.
