This week on Riverdale, season 1 concludes by answering the biggest question facing the series. Where does the show go now that Jason’s murder is solved?

Last week’s penultimate episode of Riverdale‘s first season answered a lot of the show’s biggest questions. But even though Clifford Blossom was unmasked as Jason’s killer, there are still many questions for the show answer.

With Clifford Blossom hanging himself at the end of the last episode, the reason why he killed Jason remains a mystery. And the maple syrup barrel filled with drugs is raising even more questions. The Riverdale finale will find Cheryl taking charge of the Blossom family image.

Also dealing with the Blossom of it all, the Coopers are dealing with the revelation that they are actually Blossoms in the most Cooper way possible: by ignoring that anything has changed. But seeing her family ignore that Polly is carrying her cousin’s twins is making Betty frustrated — which could lead to another appearance of Dark Betty.

Here is the synopsis for the episode “The Sweet Hereafter” from SpoilerTV.

"SEASON FINALE – Archie (KJ Apa) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) continue to grow closer. Betty (Lili Reinhart) is tired of her family acting as if nothing has happened and confronts her mother. Jughead (Cole Sprouse) finds himself in an unexpected situation, leaving Archie and the gang scrambling. Hermione (Marisol Nichols) makes Fred (Luke Perry) an offer that seems too good to be true. Meanwhile, the truth about Blossom’s family business is revealed leaving Cheryl (Madelain Petsch) to take matters into her own hands."

Even though Clifford Blossom was revealed to be Jason’s killer, that doesn’t mean that F.P. Jones will be getting out of prison. He may not have committed murder, but he still committed multiple crimes. Jughead will have to come to terms with his father likely spending years in jail.

Over in Archie’s world, there is no murder or incest. Instead, his relationship with Veronica will grow stronger. The iconic love triangle has to start somewhere.
