Gronk being Gronk: Patriots celebrity tight end Gronkowski runs up six figure bar tab at a party.

Rob Gronkowski has never shied away from making news, being seen or having a good time while away from the game. And no one spares no expense to have a good time or makes more news having a good time then the Patriots tight end. This includes reportedly running up a bar tab in excess of six figures.

Per a report from TMZ Sports, Gronkowski, shirtless, and 20 of his closest friends enjoyed the libations offered by the Shrine Nightclub at the Foxwoods Resort and Casino. He and his group reportedly ordered a staggering 160 bottles of champagne on their way to a $102,407 bar tab this past weekend. That’s not all, though. Reportedly, 16 bottles of Grey Goose, three bottles of Don Julio and 24 shots of Jim Beam Fire were also among the libations enjoyed by the Gronkowski party group.

As Charean Williams of ProFootballTalk points out, the NFL players union made a point at their recent rookie gathering for young players to emulate the tight end in the selling and marketing of themselves. Perhaps no player in the league goes out of his way to be seen quite like Gronk.

"You can say it’s “Gronk being Gronk.” The NFLPA says, “That’s his brand.”"

By accident or carefully crafted, Gronkowski has gone out of his way to make sure he’s seen having a good time during his off time from the game, and this offseason has been no different. Obviously, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, like all coaches, would prefer his players to avoid making news and being in the limelight, especially this close to training camp, which will open around the league next month.

TMZ indicates that no one is sure who footed the bill for the Gronowski party, but it’s surely known no one parties quite like Gronkowski.
