David Tennant rejoins Olivia Colman for Broadchurch season 3, which will be the acclaimed British crime drama’s final season as Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall is moving on to take over Doctor Who. So how will it all end?

Season 3, episode 1 involves Alec Hardy (Tennant) and Ellie Miller (Colman) working together to solve the case of Trish Winterman, a sexual assault victim. But naturally this horrific crime is just the beginning of the latest — and last — mystery in Broadchurch. What happened to Trish? Who could commit the assault? And what other secrets are being hidden this time?

With Colman coming off of her terrific work in The Night Manager and Tennant one of the UK’s best actors, this season of Broadchurch could easily be the show’s best. Fans won’t want to miss the final chapter and the chance to see where Hardy, Ellie and the entire town end up when it’s all said and done.
