Mike Ross returns to the firm in Wednesday’s Suits season 7 premiere. Here’s the official synopsis for season 7, episode 1.

The Suits season 7 premiere is Wednesday, and the USA drama returns with Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) now an official lawyer. But that doesn’t mean that he’s on easy street when he, and the show, come back.

Season 7, episode 1 is called “Skin in the Game” and focuses on Mike rejoining what is now known as Specter Litt as a real lawyer. He immediately reteams with Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), who has taken over as the firm’s managing partner. But Harvey will have a different way of running the office than Jessica Pearson (the now-departed Gina Torres), so how will Suits season 7 be different than the six before?

The Suits season premiere also includes Mike’s fiancee Rachel (Meghan Markle) trying to figure out where she fits in, and Louis (Rick Hoffman) getting a new class of associates to order around. Who will be the next Mike or even the next Harold? The office is not the same anymore, which means the show won’t be the same either, and as Suits fans know when things get upended is also when the series is at its best.

Expect Suits season 7 to start off with a bang. Just because Mike got rid of one problem doesn’t mean there won’t be a half-dozen more waiting for him when he walks the halls of Specter Litt again.

Here’s how USA officially describes the episode:

"Mike returns to Pearson Specter Litt as Harvey takes the reins. Louis manages the new class of associates while Donna and Rachel find their places in the new world order."
