If you’re looking forward to more Horizon Zero Dawn content, we have some good news: The Frozen Wilds officially has a release date.

Back in February, one of the best games of the year, Horizon Zero Dawn, was released. It’s a game with a gorgeous world, a ton of fun and unique missions, interesting characters, and a compelling story. Aside from the main story, there are plenty of side quests and other missions to complete. But with the new DLC, The Frozen Wilds, we’ll be continuing Aloy’s journey with a brand new story, which is very exciting. Thanks to the official PlayStation blog, we have an official release date.

We first learned of the expansion during PlayStation’s press conference at E3 2017. Although details are still very minimal about what to expect from the actual story, we know it’s a whole new area. For example, it’s set in the icy northern territories, which means we’ll be exploring an entirely new location. We can expect a variety of mysteries, and most importantly, some vicious machines to challenge ourselves in combat.

All these things are fantastic and they’re features we’re definitely looking forward to. Still, what excites us the most is the story. The ending of the main story left many things open for interpretation. It also had many unanswered questions, which we hope this DLC digs into a bit.

Down the line, we expect developer Guerrilla Games to create a sequel, which we’re all for. If we do end up getting a sequel, we probably won’t see it for a couple of years. In that case, we’ll take all the extra content available. We expect even more after the launch of this one.

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds releases on Nov. 7, 2017, exclusively on the PlayStation 4. We should be hearing more information prior to its launch.
