After lackluster seasons on both ends, the Saints and the Browns will open up the preseason against each other on Thursday night.

The New Orleans Saints haven’t been able to replicate the magic they found at the beginning of the decade in their Super Bowl win, and have taken a backseat in the NFC South to the Atlanta Falcons and the Carolina Panthers in previous years.

After a 7-9 season for the second year in a row, the Saints will start their preseason run in Ohio against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night, who also had a horrible season last year that saw them win just a single game out of the 16 they played.

Neither team greatly improved their roster in the offseason, as the Browns really only added Brock Osweiler to their roster to try and solve their quarterback woes, while the Saints lost Brandin Cooks this offseason and couldn’t get anything back to replace him.

The best way for either team to get the ball rolling for their regular season is a successful preseason, and they’ll each get the chance to start 1-0 on Thursday night to start their year.

The game won’t be nationally televised, but you’ll be able to check out the game on NFL Game Pass both live and as a replay if you’re a subscriber. If not, you won’t be able to catch the game live unless you live in either market for each team.
