Erik Jones fronts the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race. Here’s the complete starting lineup for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race from Bristol.
Youth is being served on the starting grid for NASCAR‘s Bristol Night Race. Erik Jones captured his first Cup Series pole for Saturday’s Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race, with Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott also starting near the front.
Kasey Kahne is the only driver over 25 in the first two rows, with his fellow soon to be free agent Matt Kenseth rounding out the Top 5. Perhaps both of them can put on a strong audition for a new ride with a win in the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race.
Kenseth is starting in front of the man who denied him a win at Watkins Glen, the current Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series points leader, Martin Truex Jr. Of course, we’re a bit overdue for a piano to fall on Truex’s car or something, which would be bad news for the injury-prone Denny Hamlin in seventh place.
And don’t look now, but the two guys who didn’t like each other in New York, Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch, are starting together in 17th and 18th respectively. Let’s hope this doesn’t happen in Bristol.
