Gamescom 2017: Battlefield 1 Revolution announced

At Gamescom 2017, the definitive version of Battlefield 1 was revealed in the form of Battlefield 1 Revolution. We also got a new look at Battlefield 1 Incursions.

For those who are still putting hours into Battlefield 1, we have some good news for you courtesy of Gamescom. EA will have a big presence at this year’s convention, and it revealed plenty of new details on Battlefield 1. The biggest detail was the announcement of Battlefield 1 Revolution. This will be the definitive version of the game.

Some of the content that’ll come included in this new version includesthe base game, all the content that’s now available and to come in the future. For example, there’s the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass, which contains four themed expansion packs. These include new multiplayer maps, new modes and so on. Players will also have access to They Shall Not Pass, which comes with six new maps.

Some other content includes In the Name of the Tsar, Turning Tides and Apocalypse. Not only will these expansion packs include plenty of multiplayer content, but also some single-player stories. Basically, if you haven’t purchased Battlefield 1 yet, the time to do so is now.

Other details include more information on Battlefield 1 Incursions. Incursions is the all-new competitive mode coming to Battlefield 1. It seems it will stray a bit away from the traditional Battlefield formula. Players will be placed in a 5 vs. 5 match. We expect this’ll be more close quarter combat than anything, but playing on big maps will also be fun.

Once the closed alpha starts, players will be able to choose from eight different kits. Some of those include Control Leader, Mortar Support and Shock Assault. Seems like each class is different and caters to a specific role you want to play in your team.

Battlefield 1 Revolution is now available. The Battlefield 1 Incursions closed alpha will be starting in September.
