When does Taylor Swift’s new single drop? Here’s when you can the first single from her upcoming album, Reputation.

When does Taylor Swift’s new single drop? Swifties around the world are asking that question now that we know the singer has a fresh album, Reputation, on the way for the first time in three years.

The wait isn’t long: Taylor Swift’s new single drops tonight, Thursday, Aug. 24. Neither Swift nor her label have announced a specific time that the single will be made available on iTunes and other platforms, nor do we even know the title of the song, but generally new music tends to turn up on the iTunes Store sometime around midnight.

Taylor Swift’s new single will be the first single from Reputation and the first single she’s put out since her Zayn collaboration “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” from Fifty Shades Darker. So needless to say, Swifties have a lot to get excited about here. It’s not just a new Taylor Swift single; it’s new music that’ll give us a taste of what Reputation has in store.

Swift posted the Reputation cover art to her Instagram while also announcing that the full album has a Nov. 10 release date. Based on that cover art, this upcoming record is definitely going to be a change of pace for her, which makes the new single release all the more interesting.

How will it be compared to the numerous smash hits from her previous album, the record-breaking 1989? Could this, too, be just the start of an album that we won’t be able to put down for the rest of 2017? After all, all of her singles from 1989 went at least Gold after their release.
