Mexico face Panama at the Estadio Azteca on Friday, Sept.1. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Mexico currently top the standings in the Hexagonal six matches in with four wins and two draws. They have yet to lose a game in World Cup qualifying this year, and have been largely dominant overall. Their only two draws in the fifth round have been to Panama and the United States. El Tri have more than a few players capable of scoring at any moment in time. That has shown up in qualifying. They do not have a goalscorer that has tallied more than one in the round, and boast the best goals against record in the Hex as well. Mexico are a well-rounded team and seem likely to top the standings to ensure their place in the World Cup.

Panama have relied on their stingy defense and work-rate to gain points in the Hex thus far. They are tied for second in the round with Costa Rica for goals against, only giving up four in total through six matches. However, they do not score many either, which has been the main reason for their four draws in the Hex. Only a point behind the United States for automatic World Cup qualifying, Los Canaleros have a real shot to make it through. They will face their toughest test of the round in Mexico, who they drew 0-0 the last time they faced each other.
