Here’s how you can watch Jake Browning and the No. 8 Washington Huskies take on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Friday night from New Jersey during college football’s opening weekend.

Despite losing a good chunk of their core to the NFL draft this past spring, the Washington Huskies are still a legitimate College Football Playoff contender heading into the 2017-18 season.

Budda Baker, Kevin King and speedster John Ross are all NFL players now, but Jake Browning is back under center for the Huskies, who went 12-2 last season, won the Pac-12 Conference outright and made the College Football Playoff in Chris Petersen’s third season at the helm.

Sam Darnold and the USC Trojans may be getting most of the preseason hype out west, but Browning and the Huskies are still a threat to keep the favored Trojans from winning the Pac-12 this season.

Rutgers may not be the sternest challenge for the No. 8 Huskies out of the gate on Friday night, but there’s always a sense of intrigue when a west coast team flies to the other side of the United States to play a game. The Huskies will be heavy favorites in their season opener, but there’s always a sense of weirdness that lingers in games that aren’t played on Saturdays.

Here’s how you can watch Browning and the Huskies open their season on Friday night against the Scarlet Knights.

According to Sportsbook Review, Washington opened as a 30.5-point favorite against Rutgers and most lines have them sitting at about a 27-point favorite as kickoff approaches on Friday night. It should be an easier night at the office for the Huskies, but nothing is certain in college football.
