In this week’s edition of the FanSided WWE Superstar Power Rankings, we discuss John Cena lighting Roman Reigns on fire with one of his best promo segments ever because holy crap, that totally happened.

After all of this time, it’s going to happen with John Cena and Roman Reigns. The two more polarizing figures in WWE are actually going to duke it out in front of the world. And, it’s not even WrestleMania season. Obviously, Vince McMahon was the kid who wanted to open all of his gifts before Christmas Day.

There were plenty of happenings this past week in WWE, including a new RAW Women’s Champion being crowned in Alexa Bliss. The first four episodes of the Mae Young Classic dropped on the WWE Network. Randy Orton drilled Shinsuke Nakamura with his patented RKO. And, Season 2 of Fashion Files is back on Tuesday nights. Take that, Netflix, Hulu and Amazon.

But, the elephant in the room this week was the edgy contract signing segment between John Cena and Roman Reigns. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more polarizing duo to have a program with in pro wrestling today. There was cursing. There was laughter. And there was Cena ripping into Reigns in what felt like the biggest shoot of Cena’s career.

The terms “promo”, “Fourth Wall”, “b****” and “part-timer” were thrown around like a football on Thanksgiving Day and it might have been the most eye-opening segment on RAW since the show became TV-PG back in 2008. Cena sounded like a man that had both feet out the door and had less than nothing to care about.

We’re still over three weeks away from the No Mercy pay-per-view and lord knows where this program is heading next. Thankfully, you don’t have to wait that long to get into the new edition of FanSided’s WWE Superstar Power Rankings.

(Disclaimer: The wrestlers chosen for this power rankings list only appear on Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live, so that means no NXT/205 Live specific stars are on this list.)
