Performers move one step closer to success Tuesday as America’s Got Talent season 12 puts on its fifth live show, and the NBC talent competition looks to separate the finalists from those who come up just short.

Season 12, episode 20 is called “Live Show 5” and that’s because it’s the fifth time that America’s Got Talent will bring out its remaining season 12 acts to perform live for the votes of the TV viewer watching at home. Those whose Tuesday performances impress America enough will make their way to the finals on Wednesday, while those who don’t, well you know what happens at this point.

Judges Heidi Klum, Mel B, Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell are on hand to provide their thoughts on the America’s Got Talent season 12 semifinalists, and potentially cut an act’s run short early if they are buzzed out. But “Live Show 5” will once again be ultimately in the hands of the audience as they decide who they want to see in the finals, as contenders for the million dollar prize.
