Bayern Munich face Anderlecht at Allianz Arena on Tuesday, Sept. 12. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Champions League group stage begins with Bayern Munich hosting Anderlecht. Bayern are the reigning Bundesliga champions, a competition they have won the past five years. Anderlecht won the Belgian league last season, their first league title since 2014.

Bayern started the season with back-to-back victories but stumbled against Hoffenheim in their last game, losing 2-0. Defensively, Bayern have been shaky with center-back Jerome Boateng still out with an injury he suffered at the end of last season. Manager Carlo Ancelotti opted to rest Arjen Robben, Niklas Sule and Franck Ribery against Hoffenheim to save them for the Champions League.

Bayern will be without Arturo Vidal, who is serving his suspension after he was sent off against Real Madrid last season. Ancelotti will likely start Sebastian Rudy as a defensive midfielder. Left-back David Alaba is nursing an ankle injury but could be ready to play against Anderlecht. However, if Alaba is unable to play, Ancelotti has to decide how he wants to line up.

Anderlecht have got off to a disappointing start to their season. The Brussels-based team have picked up only eight points from their first six games. Manager Rene Weiler will likely play a defensive style and attempt to steal a point from Bayern at the Allianz Arena. If Anderlecht are going to steal points, they could have Lukasz Teodorczyk or Henry Onyekuru take advantage of a mistake Bayern make at the back. Teodorczyk and Onyekuru both have two goals this season.
