During the Nintendo Direct on Wednesday, a new trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has been released. The game looks huge.

We got our first look at Xenoblade Chronicles 2 since E3 in June. So far, the Nintendo Switch is off to a phenomenal start thanks to games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and ARMS. However, 2017 isn’t done with the Switch just yet with so many other games on the horizon. Thankfully, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is one of those and the new trailer is a doozy.

The new trailer focuses on a variety of areas we’ll be exploring in the game. We have to say, the game is looking great, especially the aesthetics and art-style. It may be just as big, maybe even bigger, than Xenoblade Chronicles X. We’re also digging the fact that it falls more in line with the first game.

With good reason, Xenoblade Chronicles is, arguably, one of the greatest JRPGs ever made. If Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is anywhere near as good, then we’re in for something special. It’s a stretch, but it’s looking amazing so far.

Check out the new trailer below:

Other than the new areas, we get a glimpse at some of the characters and NPCs we’ll encounter in the game. We also see a variety of creatures/monsters we’ll battle and the combat. From what we’ve seen, the gameplay seems very fluid and natural. It’s going to be fun to see all the different move-sets and skills we’ll be able to utilize.

When it comes to the game’s scope, it’s absolutely massive. Discussing every little detail is almost impossible. However, we won’t have to wait much longer now that we have an official release date.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will launch exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on Dec. 1, 2017. You’ll be able to experience everything for yourself very shortly.
