Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer is going to be out for awhile, so let’s have a look at some fantasy football replacements.

One day after the Arizona Cardinals suffered a horrific 33-0 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on London, the team learned they’d be without starting quarterback Carson Palmer for a bit. Palmer left the game on Sunday with a broken left arm, and as of right now, it’s not known when he may return to the team, but the prognosis is eight weeks.

With Palmer out for the foreseeable future, some of you are probably looking for a replacement for him if you have him on your fantasy team.

Well, let’s have a look at some of the best options.

5. Trevor Siemian, Denver Broncos

In all honesty, Siemian almost missed the list. The original pick was the Green Bay Packers’ Brett Hundley. The problem with Hundley, though, is that he doesn’t have the experience nor has he displayed that he can make enough plays from the pocket to best Siemian.

It’s been a strange year for Siemian. First, he put a muzzle on a lot of doubters when he won the starting job for the second time and earned the respect of his teammates. Out of the gate, he started off fast. He more or less beat the Dallas Cowboys’ defense halfway to Hades with a four-touchdown performance that earned him a 116.0 passer rating. From there, it got pedestrian, and during Week 7 against the San Diego Chargers, it got ugly.

There are bright spots in even his worst performances. What that means to you is that as head coach Vance Joseph opens the playbook for his young protégée, Siemian continues to fight in the face of dire circumstances.

Working through a Week 6 home loss in against the New York Giants, he pressed on, which resulted in over 376 passing yards. As bad as he looked in his second date with the Chargers, he still completed 71.4-percent of his passes. Those facts make him easy to pick up when faced with a hole at the quarterback position.

Looking at the talent around him, he has a lot of weapons and is prone to tucking the ball and running in the red zone when all else fails. His growth will continue and that will equal more points for owners at this crucial time of the year.
