Hannover face Borussia Dortmund at HDI-Arena on Saturday, Oct. 28. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Hannover’s return to the Bundesliga has gone better than expected. After nine games, Hannover are sixth with 15 points. Dortmund have been first in the Bundesliga table the entire season but Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig are closing the gap. Bayern are level on points with Dortmund, while Leipzig are only one point behind.

Hannover’s strong start to the season is largely due to an impressive defense. Along with Bayern Munich and Dortmund, Hannover have allowed the fewest goals this season. Hannover’s start has helped resurrect the career of manager André Breitenreiter. After helping Paderborn gain promotion into the Bundesliga, Breitenreiter looked like one of Germany’s best young managers. However, a disastrous stint with Schalke removed the luster from Breitenreiter. Martin Harnik scored 17 goals last season to help Hannover gain promotion. The Austrian striker has started the season strong, with five goals and is on pace for his best Bundesliga season since 2011-12 when he scored 17 goals for Stuttgart.

After picking up 19 of 21 points to start the season, Dortmund have only picked up one point in their last two games. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Maximilian Philipp have combined to score 15 of Dortmund’s Bundesliga leading 25 goals. However, Dortmund’s defense has struggled in the past two games, allowing five goals. Injuries have depleted Peter Bosz’s options in the back four. Bosz moved Julian Weigl to center-back and Marc Bartra to right-back to cope with injuries.
