We know you’re all fans of NBA stars, but have you ever thought about the stars? Yes, we are talking about Astrology. This week, we do a full deep dive into the Zodiac and how that might impact the NBA season. Full disclosure: We have wanted to do an astrology pod for months but it never felt like the right time. And then the Astros won the World Series and we just KNEW this was the time.

For those of you not familiar with astrology, DON’T WORRY! Al gives a very brief yet informative overview of the basics and then we are off. We each picked a rookie, veteran and coach, and compared the characteristics associated with their signs to the ones they actually exhibited. Turns out astrology is SPOT ON.

Key takeaways include: Lonzo Ball is a classic loyal and observant Scorpio (his father is LaVar after all), Manu Ginobli is a clingy Cancer (who has not left the Spurs in 22 years) and Steve Kerr is the quintessential diplomatic Libra (also Al’s ultimate zodiac love match). We couldn’t make this up if we tried!

Lastly, we close out with a game of “Guess the Sign.” We quiz each other on player Zodiac signs and it solidifies that you really can predict the sign by just knowing a few things about a player. This stuff is real, folks! It seems like there is a business plan here. If you’re interested in investing, just slide into the DMs.

We also touch on the start of the NBA season and player Halloween parties. The Cavaliers were at it again in full force. LeBron James tries his best, as did Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian, but nobody could hold a candle to JR Smith and his wife as “The Coneheads.” Epic.

As always, if you enjoyed the episode please show some love. Tweet at us. Rate the pod five stars on iTunes. Share with friends!
