Castiel returns to help Sam and Dean in this week’s Supernatural. Here’s how you can watch Supernatural season 13, episode 5 live, on TV and online.

Castiel fans, rejoice! Misha Collins’ character returns to Supernatural in Thursday’s episode, and just in time as The CW‘s longest-running show is getting particularly creepy this week.

Season 13, episode 5 is called “Advanced Thanatology” and involves Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) investigating the case of a doctor’s ghost that would rather harm than heal. We don’t know how Castiel will be able to assist Sam and Dean with that, but Supernatural season 13 has come up with plenty of surprises thus far, so why not one more especially when it involves a fan favorite character?

Having Misha Collins back in Supernatural season 13 will certainly be a huge plus for the fans, who’ve come to love Castiel and the way he fits in with the Winchesters. Now let’s hope that his first episode back isn’t too creepy, because there are just so many ways that an evil doctor could be incredibly disturbing. So many surgical tools and uncomfortable one-liners. Let’s hope that “Advanced Thanatology” gives us lots of Castiel and not so many nightmares.

"While working on a case involving the ghost of a demented doctor, Sam and Dean get assistance from an unexpected source: Billie. Castiel finds his way back to the Winchesters."
