Fans of Hawaii Five-0 are used to seeing Steve McGarrett in trouble, but Friday’s new episode of the CBS crime drama suggests that he could come under fire both literally and metaphorically on his next case.

Season 8, episode 7 is called “Kau ka ‘onohi ali’i i luna” and includes Steve (Alex O’Loughlin) making a rare mistake during the team’s attempt to stop a bank robbery. Steve’s general fitness has been a question throughout Hawaii Five-0 season 8, as just last week the squad had him shadowed by someone to help him manage his stress, so could this episode be the one where he has some real consequences to face?

This episode will also revisit the elephant in the room for Hawaii Five-0 season 8: How weird it is that Adam Noshimura is a member of the task force while his wife isn’t around anymore. Even as Ian Anthony Dale, who’s also starring in CBS’s Salvation, is fantastic as Adam and it’s been great to have him appear every week, fans have been wondering how they’d write for Adam without Kono (Grace Park), and this episode is going to address that issue further.
