Mariska Hargitay’s Olivia Benson has always been the star of NBC‘s Law & Order: SVU, but Wednesday’s new episode puts her definitively front and center as Benson reveals her darkest secret — and might also cross a line.

Season 19, episode 7 is called “Something Happened,” and it’s the most powerful SVU season 19 episode so far. Melora Walters (Big Love) plays this week’s victim, who refuses to open up about what took place, until Benson (Hargitay) sits down with her one on one. But this isn’t just another interview or another case; Benson has to tell her own story for Walters’ character to divulge hers.

And NBC’s SVU season 19 promos imply that Olivia Benson might just do something in that interview room that she doesn’t want the rest of her team to know about. Given everything that the character has seen and done over almost two decades on the job, what could possibly be that controversial?
