Here’s what to watch for when the No.1 Clemson Tigers clash with the No. 7 Miami Hurricanes in Saturday’s ACC Championship Game.

A spot in the College Football Playoff will be on the line when the No. 1 Clemson Tigers take on the No. 7 Hurricanes in the ACC Championship Game on Saturday in Charlotte.

One year after capturing the national championship, Clemson is in the hunt again with a record of 11-1 entering conference championship week. The Tigers shook off a head-scratching loss to Syracuse on Oct. 13 with five consecutive victories, and a nonconference win over No. 4 Auburn has propelled them all the way to the top spot.

Things were going perfectly for Miami during a 10-0 start including a resounding 41-8 victory over Notre Dame on Nov. 11, but Mark Richt has some major questions to answer after last Friday’s 24-14 loss to a 5-7 Pitt team. While that defeat may not ultimately end up mattering in the playoff picture, it certainly raises some red flags about a Miami squad that escaped a few lesser teams with narrow victories earlier in the season.

It would be a shock if Saturday’s winner was left out of the College Football Playoff, and the loser is certainly out of the top four. The ACC Championship Game is set to begin at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, with full streaming details available below.
