The Dallas Mavericks will host the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night. Here is how to watch this Western Conference NBA game online via live streaming.

Tuesday night’s NBA slate includes seven games, including to a double-header on ESPN. But the night’s most significant game isn’t on national TV, as the Mavericks will host the Spurs in what is expected to be Kawhi Leonard’s first action of the season.

Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET (7:30 CT) on Dec. 12, 2017 at American Airlines Arena in Dallas, TX. Fox Sports Southwest-Dallas will carry the home Mavs broadcast while the visiting Spurs’ feed will air on Fox Sports Southwest-San Antonio. The game can also be streamed live on NBA league pass and FuboTV.

Thus far, LaMarcus Aldridge has carried the 19-8 Spurs to the tune of 22.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game on 50 percent shooting. His play on both ends has justified a lucrative contract extension he signed prior to the season. But Leonard’s return will undoubtedly alter the current balance in San Antonio. When healthy, Leonard is by far the team’s best player and a top-five player in the NBA. How Gregg Popovich distributes the workload between the sizzling Aldridge and the recovering Leonard will be fascinating to see.

The Mavericks have struggled all year and currently own the NBA’s third-worst record at 7-20. Though they defend at a league-average level, Dallas has the 27th-ranked offense with Harrison Barnes and rookie point guard Dennis Smith Jr. running the show. Smith, though promising as a prospect, is currently a below-average NBA player playing 28 minutes per game. The ever-lovable Dirk Nowitzki is creakier than ever and Dallas has gotten very little punch from their role players.

Don’t expect Leonard to play too many minutes in his first game back. Despite practicing and working out in weeks past, he’s probably not completely up to game shape, and the Spurs won’t risk re-injury by overtaxing him right off the bat. Danny Green, who missed the last game and a half with groin tightness, is expected to play as well, reuniting San Antonio’s staunch defensive duo on the perimeter.

Tonight could be a turning point in what is already another great season for the Spurs. Leonard nudges them from good to great. There have been a few shakeups in the West this year, and this could be another one.
