NFL Hall of Fame running back LaDainian Tomlinson reacts to the ESPN report detailing dysfunction with the New England Patriots, the Chargers missing the playoffs and more.

LaDainian Tomlinson, like many current and former players around the NFL, are digesting and commenting on an ESPN report detailing dysfunction with the New England Patriots. Tomlinson believes there is a great chance this does not end well for New England.

“The problem here, they let the guy (Jimmy Garoppolo) who was supposed to take his spot (Tom Brady), go out to San Francisco,” Tomlinson said regarding the Patriots trading Garoppolo to the 49ers.

Connecting the dots, the article seems to make reasonable sense. Bill Belichick proved he is capable of winning without Brady. The Patriots started the 2016 season 3-1 when Brady was suspended for Deflategate. Most thought they would be 1-3. Belichick is balancing the future and the present and believes in Garoppolo. After, all look what he did in San Francisco. 5-0.

“I think that what is surprising, in New England, usually they are able to keep everything under wraps,” Tomlinson added. “The fact that these things are coming to light is a bit ironic, but I think that signals that is is the beginning of the end. I really believe that next year might look different for the New England Patriots.”

We talked Patriots and more with LaDainian Tomlinson.  Here is what was covered:

:26- 2:04 Chargers missing the playoffs, maybe coming back to San Diego.

2:30- 3:02 Competing with the Los Angeles Rams.

3:20- 4:10 Anthony Lynn first year coaching the Chargers.

4:30- 6:00 Running backs getting the MVP award, Todd Gurley.

6:26- 8:25 New England Patriots ESPN report, who has more value Bill Belichick or Tom Brady?

9:00 – 10 :50 The FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Year Awards

11:04- 13:00 Growing up in Waco, Texas and potentially have a street named after him.

13:20- 15:00 Does he miss playing the game and will he let his son play?

15:40- end Small guy playing football. All about that heart.

Always great to speak to LaDainian Tomlinson one of the NFL’s greatest running backs. Hopefully that street name will go up soon.
