Washington Wizards’ star John Wall agrees to a five-year endorsement with Adidas.

All-Star point guard John Wall from the Washington Wizards has agreed to re-up for five years with the Adidas brand. Wall had originally been with Adidas prior to this announcement. He has been sampling the shoe free agency market over the last couple years up until his decision to return to the brand he’s always been with, according to Shams Charania from The Vertical.

Wall’s previous Adidas contract expired in Sept. 2015 right after the second edition of  shoes came out. John Wall’s latest Adidas shoes were the “J Wall 2”, released on Oct. 31, 2015. The Adidas “crazy explosive 3” was rumored to be the “J Wall 3” shoes, but were never confirmed. In 2015, Wall was offered eight years for a $66 million extension with Adidas, but he then turned it down.

With John Wall back with the Adidas brand, we may be able to see the official “J Wall 3” shoes to be released hopefully sometime in 2018. Since it’s been nearly three years since his last signature shoe design was created, it is time for Wall to go on the court with a fresh pair of kicks, made specifically for the All-Star himself.

Before the signing of the new Adidas contract, John Wall was rocking Nike and Jordan brand shoes on the court since his last contract expired. Unfortunately, Nike and Jordan never agreed for an endorsement deal for the Washington point guard. There is no specific price-point that has been announced yet on his new endorsement. Although, you can guarantee Adidas will want to pay him the big bucks for wanting to return to his former brand on the court. Adidas is lucky to have Wall back wearing the famous triple-stripes on his shoes and clothing for the next five years, or more.
