The 2018 Royal Rumble was held in Philadelphia just a week before the hometown Eagles play in Super Bowl 52, so fans had to troll Tom Brady.

Tom Brady is public enemy number one in Philadelphia this week with the Philadelphia Eagles taking on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52, so it only makes sense that the hatred would carry over to any event going on in Philly this week. Even if said event is the WWE Royal Rumble.

Brady has been catching some cheap heat all weekend, as an expletive-filled chant filled the arena at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia on Saturday night. That same animosity carried over to Sunday night’s Royal Rumble event, with the same chant echoing throughout the venue before the show got started.

Now, in a less-vocal fashion, Brady is getting some hate on the center stage during the Royal Rumble match. One fan brought in a sign that reads “F Tom Brady”, with the bright green poster board completely visible in the center of your screens during the big match.

The Philadelphia crowd has been lively with chants and signs all weekend for WWE action, and they’ve notoriously been a huge wrestling crowd over the years. You never know what you’ll get from a crowd in Philadelphia, even if it’s someone dressed as Waldo in the front row.

The Royal Rumble event always brings out some craziness, and it worked out perfectly that the Eagles find themselves in their biggest game in over a decade just a week later. Now, they’ll need to hope that sign somehow makes its way to Brady’s eyeballs and gets under his skin before the big night.

Either that or Brady will just get angry and try to prove a bunch of Philadelphia wrestling fans wrong in a big way to win his sixth Super Bowl title in 17 years.
