National Signing Day 2018: Predicting where the top 25 uncommitted recruits sign
- High School: Lee’s Summit West
- Composite Ranking: No. 160, No. 6 ATH
Athletes are always a fun type of recruit to follow on National Signing Day. Depending on the coach and the program, wherever they end up ultimately determines just what position they are going to play in college, if not multiple.
A good coach can correctly identify which of the skill sets a player is strongest at and that makes the choice of the recruit even more important.
Mario Goodrich is one of the top athletes on the board when it comes to National Signing Day. The four-star 6’2″ product out of Missouri can play wide receiver, cornerback and can return kicks as well wherever he ends up.
He’s going to be a major weapon and offers coaches the potential to use him in a variety of different personnel groups. LSU seems poised to land Goodrich and with the talent at both wide receiver and cornerback in the SEC, he’s going to have a tough job whichever side he lines up on.
With his potential to return the ball, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him plugged in early. The Tigers have had a long history of players that could provide spark plays in their careers and Goodrich could very well be the next one.
